Who we are

Choice Through Education UK was evolved by Wayne Collins over a number of years of volunteer work and sponsoring children in Kenya. In 2018 Glynnis Wisbey and Barry Thomas joined the cause and CTE was officially registered as a Charity. Since then CTE have continued Waynes initial good work. We continue to strive to support poor and vulnerable children by offering them a future through education. These children can become an inspiration to others and role models in the community.

UK Board of Trustees

CTE in the UK is registered at the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Our Board of Trustees is composed of 3 members who meet every month to review the accounts, procedures and progress as well as deciding on the strategic orientation of the charity. The three trustees operate on a 100% voluntary basis and receive no income from the charity

Wayne Collins

As well as being Head Honcho and founding member at CTE, Wayne has run WCA, a Chartered
Building Surveyors practice for many years. His practical knowledge has been invaluable in ensuring CTE building projects have run to plan.

Glynnis Wisbey

Glynnis has been involved with charities for many years and brings invaluable experience to helping run CTE smoothly. Her knowledge and enthusiasm is well sort after and she has recently become a Trustee of another charity too, Demelza.

Barry Thomas

As well as being dedicated to the CTE cause, Barry runs Urban Meadows, a Garden Design and Landscaping practice. Barry has travelled extensively around the world and spent many years in Africa where he developed his passion for the place and its people.
